This is my first try at blogging, so it probably won't be the best.
First of all, I should say I am really enjoying summer.
Oh I know that sounds Cheesy but, I am. So far it's been fun (even though so far is allmost gone). I have been on two week long camps with scouts (one right after the other), I enjoy being ot of school (I go to a private co-op school called Polar Star so it hasn't been real school, but who cares) because I don't have to worry about asignments all the time and get to hang with my friends a whole heck of a lot more.
Even though summer is starting to peak and roll off in the other direction, the past, there's still enough left to have some fun.
Fun to me means: Sleeping in (usually till nine-thirty or ten), Jumping on our trampoline (it's bright green), playing a few computer games (we only have computers), playing with / anoying my siblings (all four of them), Hangging with my friends, Riding motorized vehicals, Camping and now Blogging.
Well now you know what I like to do in the summer. How about you, comment to tell me.
Eli.

Hi Eli,
Summer does seem to be slipping away, transitioning into another amazing year of Polar Star and music. I'm glad it's not summer all the time. After all, there must be opposition in all things. We wouldn't appreciate the good things if we didn't have bad things too -- the contrasts in life are important.
But, seriously, this summer I'm glad we discovered we could go to Mantua Reservoir for less than 15 miles round trip, and I'm glad for the FrontRunner train so Jana could take herself to flute lessons, and I love the song "Oh What Do You Do In The Summertime," but I don't like the summer heat and never have!

Eli,
You are totally awesome! I love the idea of your blog and can't wait to keep up with your adventures.

Eli,
You're so awsome! Evebody should hear about the great leader you have been this summer at camp and in your scout troop.
I hope you have fun in the coming week; I know it is tough to decide between going to Wind Rivers with the Young Men or celebrating at Bear Lake with your Polar Star buddies. Wish we could just get you a "time turner" so you could do both.
Sorry for the times I get after you and your siblings for "summer slacking."
Love,
Dad
Hi Eli:
We read this a while ago, but didn't post our comments. Peter says that during the summer he likes play soccer at home. He also likes to play with his Wall-E toy (still haven't seen the film!) and to make the noise that Wall-E makes.
I like to sleep in. Also, I like that the boys can play water games outside for hours at a time. One last good thing is that the baby doesn't wake up if he kicks his covers off because it is not cold.
However, if I had spotted your "favorite season" poll before it closed, I would have voted for fall. It is far and away my favorite season.
happy blogging,
Ali
ps - anytime you read Ben's blog, leave him some comments. He likes the comments more than doing the posting! :-)
